| 1970's Coca-Cola commercial, sing along now! |
One of the most famous of all jingles in the soft drink industry has to be the 1971 Coca-Cola commercial featuring the song, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)".
The advertisement is known as Coca-Cola's "Hilltop" commercial, as shows young adults from all over the world converging on a hillside drinking Coca-Cola and singing the song.
"On a hilltop in Italy, we assembled young people from all over the world...to bring you this message from Coca-Cola bottlers from all over the world. It's the Real Thing. Coke."
The song, recorded by The New Seekers, became so popular, it reached #1 on the UK charts and #7 in the United States.
